I worked at AFCU as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

A non-profit organization that focuses on enhancing members experience. Interns have a chance to work with the real-world projects.

    Cons

I feel very good to do my internship here and I wish it can be longer.

I have been working at AFCU full-time

    Pros

Good people to work with. AFCU cares about its employees(for the most part) and members. Great benefits.

    Cons

Low salaries. Company spends money unnecessarily (automatic soap dispensers and drug testing) instead of paying more.

    Advice to Management

Culture is starting to go downhill. Management is getting uptight and nitpicky.

I have been working at AFCU (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Family oriented. The workplace is like a family and there is a lot of focus on including our families. A lot of positive trends!

    Cons

There are some old systems and old technology (email space is a chronic problem), and the building is a little drab, but it does have character.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up

    Pros

The culture is very family oriented. We have fun activities (bowling night, sr. management cooks hamburgers for staff, fundraising activities for charities, etc). Business operations are greatly improved. I like the direction of the company. The morale of the staff was once very bad, but things have become much better. We received a workplace excellence award. Recent upgrades to technology has made things more efficient.

    Cons

The inside of the building could use some paint.
