I worked at AG Forte full-time

    Pros

Managers were given a company house to live in a the farm. The toms had excellent hours and we were given all we needed to get the job done.

    Cons

When you deal with turkeys, you have help issues. It is always a challenge to keep help on farms that have a lot of physical labor.

    Advice to Management

You need to find away to keep the benefits good and competitive. When the benefits of managing a farm is not as good as it used to be, the turnover is going to go up

I have been working at AG Forte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Usually left alone as a farm manager as long as everything is in order and looks good, supervisors always happy to help, most people enjoy helping you and don't go crazy over a few mistakes
Good pay, benefits, and time off. Service guys notice your hard work and will always let you know you are doing good, or where to do better at

    Cons

Some of the older crew are filled with drama, and instead of helping they will just tell your supervisor you did something wrong, even if you didn't know it was. Most equipment on farms is very, very...very out of date

    Advice to Management

Update equipment, and barns, makes life much better for farm managers and laborers. More work being done and less work on equipment to do the work.

I worked at AG Forte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay was good; there was a regular amount of pay raises - whether for the length of time you were there or just for "cost of living" raise.

On two, off two schedule - worked every other weekend.

    Cons

    12-hour night shift (7pm-7am)

Worked alone from 7pm to about 5am when the day shift got there.

    Advice to Management

The company, Wilmar Poultry doesn't really care too much about the operation and growth of the business (Ag Forte) that it purchased, and is letting it run into the ground.
