    Cons

Company had an asset sale at the end of the year and didnt tell anyone working there, so come the new year we found out the new owners where closing the plant and we where out of work.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

This facility has no good points. Even the salaries don't compare to the rest of the industry.

    Cons

Let me be clear AGC is a good company. The alabaster branch is the worst facility I've ever worked in. Disorganized and you are treated horrible with no support from upper management to do your job. The frustrations and beliefs are held for all coordinators unanimously. Believe me when I say this is not a post from someone who likes to complain. Do not ever work for this branch of AGC auto. The associates that work the floor hate their lives and it's the highest turnover rate I've ever seen. You're lucky if you can get people to even complete the training.

I have been working at AGC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good Pay, Nice Co-workers, Insurance Benefits

(I can't think of any other pros so I am doing this to meet the word count)

    Cons

Poor on site and corporate management, liars, ineptitude, unwilling to reinvest in the plant facilities, lots of double standards, WILL NOT PROMOTE FROM WITHIN

    Advice to Management

Wise up and take advice from your employees! A 20+ year process tech knows more about day to day line operations than somebody riding a desk looking at spreadsheets does!

It's pretty sad when most entry level techs will hold themselves to a higher standard than the plant manager and other supervisors do!

    Pros

Great people at the working levels and you have somewhat control over your destiny. The company is trying to do the right thing in terms of capital investments to remain a leader in the glazing industry.

    Cons

Needs to upgrade it's internal infrastructure in terms of systems, costing because everything is one big Excel sheet. It's Quality has deteriorated partly because of it's rapid growth, but the Quality leader(s) need an overhaul.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in your employees.
