I have been working at AGS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The experience of working at AGS has been enlightening. I have never before worked for a company where the C level personnel are so accessible and friendly. It is common for the CEO, David Lopez, to have lunch in the employee lunch room. Employees want fellow employees to succeed. The atmosphere is one of helping and teamwork. The company principles are not just some window dressing. They are followed and lived. Some of the most memorable are: Act like a CEO, Make your mom proud and my personal favorite, Say what you mean, Mean what you say, Don't say it mean. The atmosphere in the office is professional, but the attire is casual. The C level people wear jeans and t-shirts many days. It is a kind place to work; not cutthroat. As a smaller company in the segment there is a level of comradery not found at a big company.

    Cons

    Have not found any yet.

I worked at AGS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some very good ppl and very good management. Benefits were good and time off was good. Culture is great if you only every like Star Wars

    Cons

Cadillac Jack acquisition and constant change. Literally told if you don't like it leave. Management at highest levels doesn't listen to others or even take suggestions into consideration

I have been working at AGS

    Pros

We have had several ownership and management upgrades in the time I have been employed with this company. AGS has gone from a large "garage" operation to a well oiled, nimble machine and has more than doubled in size. We operate under a "family" oriented culture and it is a pleasure to be working here.

    Cons

It would be nice to get our entire teams together more frequently.

I have been working at AGS full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A fast growing company that has gone into more jurisdictions and placed more product in the past year than ever expected. Becoming "the" company to be in the industry where game and cabinet design is above the standards of others due to the talented employees. Employee feedback is very important to the Management Team. I have never been turned away by my direct manager, the department manager or even the CEO with any concerns or ideas about the company. They want to know and action is quick to implement positive change. AGS provides plenty of opportunities for employee growth in both position and skills. Employees are not just people in a company, they are what makes the company a success.

    Cons

The combining of companies and fast growth have there challenges but this would be true anywhere.

I worked at AGS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They will teach and train developers very well, and then you may use it as a paid education and use your experience to find work elsewhere

    Cons

Disorganized throughout. Executives blame everyone else when decisions they made or put off making work out to poor results

    AGS Response

    September 1, 2015People Services

We appreciate you sharing these concerns with us. As you may know, we have had a busy and transformative year and a half, which included a few acquisitions and personnel changes, some of which went smoother than others. The new leadership team is actively trying to drive the spirit of accountability, cooperation, and collaboration across the new AGS. As we go forward, this will be evident to those that have endured these transitional periods, and hopefully, this new culture will inspire future hires.
