I have been working at AICPA full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Flexibility, true work-life balance, wonderful people in the office and in all our international locations, medical, dental, vision, 401-k, PTO, holidays, able to work from home, summer Fridays!

    Cons

We are global which is a good thing so sometimes working hours across time zones can be challenging.

    Pros

They pay a living wage and if you can get in with the right individuals you may move up.

    Cons

If for some reason you get on someone's bad side, your experience there will be filled with consistent attempts to make you suffer.

    Advice to Management

Be decent. Put aside your preconceived notions and stereotypes, don't let hearsay be your jury and judge and be decent.

I have been working at AICPA full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

    - Flexible work environment - Constantly challenging yourself and encouragement of learning - Ability to bring new ideas to leadership

    Cons

This is a constantly changing environment, with leadership learning how to adjust themselves. You must be able to adapt constantly and check your ego at the door.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the future of the organization and the future of your employees and you'll continue to see positive impacts!

I have been working at AICPA

    Pros

It's been great for me working at the AICPA. The pay is on par with other businesses in the area (which you usually don't get with a non-profit), great flexibility and ability to work from home when needed, half day Fridays in the summer, very family friendly, among many other benefits. You can tell upper management really cares about our members and employees. I can confidently go to upper management with any issues...

    Cons

Some outdated tech, but it's been getting much better. Communication and coordination with other teams can be rough, and you can feel ignored by some people who you may not know personally in the company (very delayed responses to emails, need to follow up constantly, etc). Sometimes the culture is a little too laid back.

    Advice to Management

Fix the disjointed feeling between teams. Sometimes it feels like the team right across the hall is part of a separate company. Stay open to employee feedback (this has definitely been improving as well).

I have been working at AICPA full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Work life balance, good benefits, work from home options

    Cons

Management is horrible. This company only allows the same people to succeed and everyone else is stuck. They don't care about or value their employees. They continue to ask for employee feedback but then don't use any of it to make changes. They allow management to bully the employees that are below them and don't help with any type of career growth. The compensation is horrible unless if you are a Director and your yearly...

I worked at AICPA full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

work from home policy, although I wouldn't call it "flexible" or family friendly considering the workhorse mentality and expectations to be "on" 24/7 work is interesting

      Cons

I’ve never seen so much petty in-fighting among a senior leadership team. With a bloated senior leadership team it's like full-on wrestlemania watching frightened leaders with exceptionally large salaries and egos battle it out for ownership of projects in order to put their stamp on this organization. The Association operates out of pure fear due to all of the disruption from the joint venture and it's so evident...

Pros work from home policy, although I wouldn't call it "flexible" or family friendly considering the workhorse mentality and expectations to be "on" 24/7 work is interesting Every single person I know who works here has one foot out the door. If senior leaders would take a few minute breather from trying to knock out their opponents so they can "win" (I'm not sure what is so coveted that produces such competition...
