I worked at AIG as an intern

    Pros

    -Learning from their mistakes
    -Investing in young talent
    - Great employee atmosphere at the Charlotte office

    Cons

    -Obsolete and old technology
    -Weak/non-existent documentation
-Hard finding proper support for project work

    Advice to Management

I believe in the new CEO and his vision, and you are prioritizing youth talent, which is sorely needed in the organization. However, the pay needs to be more competitive, and there needs to be a better and more willing director who recognized the importance of technology for this company. As long as business leaders are leading the tech teams, the true potential of the technologies being used will not come to fruition. A lack of competitive pay indicates a lack of seriousness in investing in technology.

I have been working at AIG full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

AIG is surprisingly adaptable considering its size, reshaping itself a number of times in the aftermath of the 2008 housing crash. The people here are resilient and dedicated to doing good work.

    Cons

With a constant churn in leadership, it requires grass root efforts to keep momentum for worthwhile projects.

    Advice to Management

    Let your managers manage
