Pros
Cons
  • team leads that don't know anything, managers being promoted because of who they know, no room for growth at all (in 5 reviews)

  • Working in a call center is pretty much the low end of the workforce spectrum to begin with, and this company is no exception (in 5 reviews)

    Pros

    Knowledgeable management
    Good pay
    Good bonuses
Cutting edge technology is finally here

    Cons

No promotions, you get hired for one job, and nothings else
Can't get recognition for the work you do
I feel like i'm being held back due to the major changes going on

    Advice to Management

Don't just tell your employee you do a good job, make it known.

    Pros

Pockets a colleagues are fantastic. Building management allows tenants to park at the building when catching their flight at ORD. Otherwise. I am having difficulty meeting the 20 word min.

    Cons

Poor work/life balance, leaders do not want people to think and contribute- just follow mandates, women appear to
be weeded out of any executive position unless they are "yes" people, a significant amount of politics and infighting at senior levels. If you can step back for a moment, it is quite a tennis match to watch between egos. Benefits are mediocre.

    Advice to Management

Diversity of thought and opinion is a good thing as it drives better business outcomes. I hear a lot about changing how we do things in order to continue to write our own future, but people are only rewarded for doing the same thing. Run a report to see what your turnover is among female vs. male employees and <less than 3 year tenure vs. >7 years turnover. I suspect there will be some interesting insights.

    Pros

    work/life balance
benefits (they are part of Anthem)
    smart clinical people

    Cons

    politics among execs
    lack of accountability
    low salary scale

    Advice to Management

Focus on and develop the talent in your organization. Recruit outside talent who does not think like you, who might challenge you for the good of the company.

    Pros

EASY MONEY!!! Typical inbound call center job.You read off of the same exact script over and over again, which can make you bored out of your mind, but it's EASY MONEY!! There's a plan called EAP that offers discounts on different services which is nice if needed.Quarterly bonuses. Building is down the street it's from the 134 freeway, easy access.Occasional free breakfast when a new hire class starts, occasional potlucks/free lunch.Free coffee, oatmeal available if you want breakfast from the break room.

    Cons

Terrible/unrealistic point system. The company(anthem over all)has a lack of compassion for it's employees when it comes to the attendance policy, and needs to realize that people do have lives outside of work. Employees should not be docked or penalized if an emergency comes up.Employees are randomly audited 5 times a month which isn't a BIG deal if you hit all of the key points that are require to get 100 points during every call, but no one is perfect. MICRO MANAGEMENT is a big factor in this call center,as you're monitored on calls, and how long you're not ready to take calls etc.

    Advice to Management

    Change the point system policy!

    Pros

    Convenient to get to work

    Cons

Gossip, team leads, bathrooms are gross, micro management

    Advice to Management

Raise the pay, take away the unknown option if the person calling in can't do their job by knowing the information then i shouldn't have to know my job.

    Pros

You get free coffee, that's about it

    Cons

-Management gives you new jobs to do, but do not give you the title, or the pay that goes with that job.
    -Communication between departments are horrible
-You get a bonus every three months, but by the times taxes are through, you don't see a dime of it
-There are people in positions of power unqualified to be there, and the result is that they are power hungry, biased, and show extreme favoritism, and never know how to do their jobs properly

    Advice to Management

Please pay your employees for the job they're doing.

I have been working at AIM Specialty Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, nice coworkers, steady job, hours are okay, we have PTOs and they give makeup time. There's not really alot of room for growth but it's a good starter job for customer service. Work is very easy.

    Cons

Pay rate is not good enough. Not much room for growth. We are only one department and no room to accelerate to other departments that's why other employees look for a better job where they can advance or move up to another position or department.

    Advice to Management

    N/a
