I have been working at AIM Specialty Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The option to work from home if you are a productive employee and consistently hit the metrics put in place by management. Quarterly bonuses on top of an annual bonus.

    Cons

There is a lot of micromanagement, although, if people didnt abuse their privileges it probably wouldn't have to be implemented. Also, the procedures put in place to do your job are ever changing which make it difficult at times. Finally, there are very limited opportunities for growth.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees concerns and become more transparent as a company.

I have been working at AIM Specialty Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free Coffee, Medical Benefits

    Cons

There are way to many to list. This place is a complete sweatshop. The turnover rate is so ridiculous that you would think that management would take a look to see what the root cause is. In addition to the poor management the team leads are very cliquish so if you are not one of the chosen few be prepared sit in that seat and dry rot because you will not be promoted. No break between calls and not be surprised if you are followed into the bathroom from a group of micromanagers ! AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE Bad Culture and bad pay

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like human. Stop using the quote " needs of the business" and "mangers discretion" as a way to deny people things that are not on your "favorite " list. Be fair to all employees but that would make you guys human !!

I worked at AIM Specialty Health full-time

    Pros

Non clinical job, good benefits, can be an independent contractor and work from home, and managers are always asking people to work overtime (a pro if you are looking for $$)

    Cons

Terrible cliquey micromanagement style. Peer to peer phone calls come in non stop. You hang up from one call and the phone rings right away, all day. Lots of doctors calling in are nasty and degrading. It does a number on you mentally after a while. There is not so subtle pressure to deny a lot of requests. Kind of iffy, ethically speaking. Avoid if you can.

    Advice to Management

Value employees as human beings. Keep the interest of the patients above the almighty dollar and do not make your front line people do your dirty work.
