I worked at AIR Worldwide as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

AIR is a medium sized and very transparent company. Upper management shares details no matter your level, and encourages input from all employees. There is a large emphasis on training to succeed in your job but also to understand what everyone else in the company does and how it all works together. The consulting team is comprised of really great people who all work together to challenge each other. I enjoyed the group aspect of working on projects, and you rotate who you work with on projects so that you get to work with and learn from everyone. The environment is very friendly and everyone is extremely supportive. The casual dress code was a nice surprise, also!

    Cons

Many projects had tight deadlines and involved working extra hours. As an intern, I was not allowed overtime, but coworkers were often working from home until late in the evening after leaving work and then were back in the office earlier than 8am the next day. No paid time off (only company-recognized holidays) or benefits for interns, but that is generally the norm.

    Advice to Management

More intern events would be nice- I never really got to know the other co-ops or interns that much.

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My favorite part of working at AIR is that I am always interested in what I am doing. Our business is very exciting and relevant to the lives of many people around the world. Additionally, the people that work here are very bright and friendly. The company is very dedicated to internal training, so if your background is either on the insurance side or the science you will be brought up to speed with the other aspects of the company quickly.

    Cons

The company is still struggling with allowing employees to work from home. In my experience it is allowed for specific circumstances, depending on your manager, but not regularly.

    Advice to Management

Research Department is to separated from the rest of the company

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

First few days, when we join, we feel it's a high profile company, but as we travel, it becomes poisonous

    Cons

What are the improvements taken by Boston or Hyderabad Management?

Is there any official employee from Boston in Hyderabad who is regulating the office?

How the hell are you going to assure by fooling yourself by talking that people are happy.people have no other choices because of its location

Oh, i have been seeing a lot of talk abouy employee surveys.Go tell to new comers about the one survey that you conduct.

Has Boston evet taken feedback from ite employee directly from any office.you promote dictatorship and later support the bad management that's bringing down

Tell me what Hyderabad has too much achieved with this leadership.Any body who has been sole privilege rights to make deals for office space, profiting themselves, anyone can do that.ultimately work and instuctions comes fr boston. What so great about being a back end company at hyderabad

The top leaders have no ethics and i have seen so many girls in the past literally talking about thr idiots.if i start unfolding the truths, leadership becomes unsecure and start targeting us.
    You talk about transparency.

Oh, is it like this, we talk to them or boston about yout leadership and you come back to us on force.pls explain your tailwagging attitude towards hyderabad management

Md replies to the management instead of hr, that itself talks about the nose poking attitude

    Advice to Management

Hr, yes good step.management very bad step. This year I am sure AIR is going to make some more profits than the last year as per market surveys.so why not to recruit a better management than these people who have sticked like lizards for the past 12 years with the same business, professional and mental outlook

    Pros

I worked about a year and it was satisfactory. I found few reviews taking about 'Good Salary' but i do not see the industry standards being followed. Salary hike depends on your previous CTC. When i joined i didn't get any hike because my salary was already on higher side. but due to the Hyderabad location I had joined this company. If you are getting less salary then this company should be your right choice. With my experience I listed pros below
    1. No micromanagement
    2. No dress code ( officially yes, but not very strict)
    3. Salary ( As i explained already , it depends on your previous CTC)
    4. Leaves and job security
    5. WFH, ( This was not there during the time I worked, but heard they have recently started, but again it depends on your role)
    6. Fun at Work place

    Cons

    1. Salary ( for the experienced professionals- Strictly advise think twice)
    2. No career growth
    3. No scope to learn new technologies
    4. Half day policy ( I am not sure if this is till there)
    5. no decent appraisals and hikes ( management should work to have a steady growth)
6.Small company- so you do not find more projects ( This should not be a con if you are willing to wok and learn Insurance domain)
    7. Only they have office in Hyderabad ( good if you want settle down in Hyderabad)
    8. I do agree with reviews of Favoritism but if you have talent nothing can stop you.

    Advice to Management

    1. Appraisals and hikes
    2. Half day policy ( I am not sure if this is still there)
    3. Need to be more Agile and adopt new technologies
    4. Two monitors
    5. Proper Accounting Team.

I worked at AIR Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Decent salary, facilities, benefits, flexitime, WFH when needed etc., Verisk Analytics supported this Hyd. Office very well and is happy with whatever little contribution made here. HYd. Office Local MD appears good, is very good/ good for those he likes and supports those who work for him without questioning him, even when he is not right - wants & manages only yes masters who can settle and retire here itself

    Cons

Poor Management, Biased approach, One man Show, some HR's/Sr. members are used and thrown out in short span, in a year, firing employees is common without record/reasons justifiable- Bosses do not like the person fire him , proper system not in place, some employees get salary even without working /partial work - show business works here, MD mesmerises and gets influenced by people who know how to manage him, no proper feedback, some HR/ops persons are effective/ineffective/irrelevant/adamant - Management responsibility is minimal - they just dont care - Sr. Management is well paid and will never leave their seats or will develop others to be capable enough

    Advice to Management

Hyderabad MD, other Directors - you are managing the show & doing fine, but u can be better - give chance for people to grow and reach to your levels - you have enough growth professionally and financially here at Air- don’t be insecure, selfish, share it with others of repute and capability and leave for good – remember, someone can do better job than the way you are doing it.
