    Pros

    Cons

Management is making decisions on its own randomly without actually solving any problem. Moving teams around randomly creating lot of uncertainty among team members not just once but multiple times. Not a single satisfactory answer was given to the team for its actions.

    Advice to Management

Empower People to Make Decisions. Too often, decisions move up the management chain to people who have the least amount of knowledge to make the best decision. Big decisions shouldn’t always be made by management. You should empower each person to make decisions that apply to their own groups and roles. In addition to speeding up decisions and helping shape current team members into future managers, this will also instill...

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Air Worldwide is interesting company which has found a niche in an very interesting field and manages to survive since it faces very little competition. Moving closer to South station so easier commute for some of us.

    Cons

While I maybe new I can see the company is run very poorly. In development side Technology stack is quite dated & very poorly coded and no one wants to fix it, overall company is nearly decade behind other companies in Boston and most of my coworkers seem to be trying to get out. Sr Management seems to never communicate any changes and information trickles down only months after decision is made after people...

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits options (legal assistance, tax-free transit allocating, etc.), lots of employee activities in the office and outside of work, high level of (positive) HR interaction, terrific location in Boston's Back Bay.

    Cons

Sometimes I feel very slight reverberations from nearby passing trains, but that's a minor upshot to being so conveniently located near a major metro stop.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so circumspect about trying new media tactics (not necessarily just _New Media_ ones either BTW) and updates to messaging. Integrate Sales and Marketing more.

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time for more than a year

    Pros

CEO is one of the nicest people. HR makes an effort to keep employees satisfied. Diversity is valued here. Cutting edge software and a leader in the catastrophe industry.

    Cons

Lots of drama, various departments don't work well together. Lots of micromanaging, toxic culture where professionalism is lacking, more politics than usual. Insurance industry consolidating, meaning less revenue. There are only so many insurance companies, meaning growth has slowed and retaining clients is all they care since getting new clients will be tough. Management let clients abuse the employees.

    Advice to Management

Cut out the politics. Your 'core values' is a bunch of garbage. Everyone knows you do anything for clients including berate your own employees (through no fault of their own). Other than CEO, management is a joke.
