This company lures you in with its promises of being a professional and progressive company. Unfortunately this is far from the truth, the behaviour displayed is often unprofessional and sexualised, this is endorsed by Heads of department and Senior Management. The HR department enable this behaviour by their lack of adequate procedures. The employees of this company are often very young and with this being their first job, look up to the management for how to act. Therefore the behaviour displayed by senior management makes it appear that their actions are acceptable to others.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we take your feedback very seriously. It is very concerning to me that you feel you witnessed this type of behaviour whilst being an employee. It is important to us that our employees feel able to raise any concerns they might have. All issues raised with HR are always thoroughly investigated independently. We also have a whistleblowing line where any suspicions of wrong doing can be raised confidentially to senior managers or the appointed Non-executive Director. All of these processes are readily available to access on our staff intranet, and I would hope that any employee who has any concerns felt there was a way for them to come forward. Our employee culture is something we are very proud of at AJ Bell and it is recognised by the Times Top 100 Companies to work for. A key part of our culture is our ability to offer development and progression for our employees due to the success and growth of the business. Our Learning and Development department provide a comprehensive suite of on and off the job training, which is further supported by our offering of professional qualifications.

Pros
AJ Bell is an excellent company with a good pay scale and plenty of incentives.
Cons
It’s like a school playground. Very cliquey, unbelievably toxic environment, with harmful rumours spread and spiteful comments made if you’re not part of the in crowd.
