    I worked at AKQA full-time

    Pros

+ Amazing office in a great part of town.
+ Almost always invests in the best tools for the job.
+ Lots of small benefits, such as monthly breakfasts, drinks, trips out.
    + Great pension advice service.

    Cons

    - Microscopic pay raises that don't reward hard work.
    - Training is still isn't taken seriously at AKQA.
    - Leadership below boardroom level is disorganised.
    - AKQA has suffered a huge turnover of staff since the acquisition by WPP. Amazing, talented people have left and haven't been replaced.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people and reward them for doing well. Find out why people are leaving and act on their advice.

I have been working at AKQA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've been working at AKQA for over 3 years and still get the same buzz and excitement about projects that I did in year 1. Working with some of the best clients, on some of the most challenging and truly inspirational projects with teams that will push and support you all the way.

    Cons

If you want a 9-5 lifestyle with a very structured framework then it's probably not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I worked at AKQA (More than a year)

    Pros

Great collaborative environment for creatives. When the projects actually happen, it's fun but sadly not usually the case.
The work that AKQA often produce for Nike is incredible. 75% the project doesn't make it live but when it does, it's exceptional.
    Incredible talented creative team.

    Cons

Salaries and pay bracket / bonuses are poor. Several people get told 'we're not doing financially great, so no bonus' and other more senior employees get a bonus.
Lack of transparency from senior leadership.
Bad working hours / culture as working late is often perceived as working hard.
The perception / PR showcases a completely different work culture and quality of work than it actually is. Lots of people have been let go in the past year due to loss of clients.
Everything has changed for the worse since the WPP takeover.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in people.
Be transparent about struggles, promotions, bonuses, finance issues and account gains/losses.

    Pros

Great social scene with added extras like breakfasts, jimmy's bar, cinema outings, gym facilities, massages, fruit ....
    Excellent talent to work with!

    Cons

Work you hard. Can be stingy on the pay brackets and generally put you a title below your level, make sure you negotiate on arrival.
