I have been working at ALDI part-time

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, great pay compared to other grocery stores, opportunity to move up. The employees are very nice and welcoming.

    Cons

It can be physically demanding. You have to be able to move fast when working pallets, bread, freezer, and even ringing customer items.

    Pros

You are definitely rewarded for hard work done at ALDI, and everyone is definitely a team player when it comes to getting things done.

    Cons

Long hours, minimal staff makes everything you do extremely important in a good and bad way in that mistakes could hurt more than just you.

    Advice to Management

Compensation for senior employees needs to be a little higher especially with the high turn over, if one is still there after a long amount of time it i for a reason.

    Pros

The pay is great especially when you compare it to others in the same industry. There is always room for advancement. The majority of the employees are very hard workers, not to many bad apples, they dont just hire anybody in, which is a very good thing.

    Cons

Lowest level employees do the least pyhsical work and the store manager does majority of the physical work, you are compensated well for it but to me its backwards compared to others in the same industry.

    Advice to Management

Try to make the cashiers do more physical work let the managers focus more on managing. Yeah they get pay good money too and should have to earn that and not by just sitting in a chair ringing up groceries.

    Pros

Working for ALDI prepares you to work for just about any company that requires multi-tasking and autonomy. You are consistently challenged, tested, and pushed to the limit and for someone who enjoys working hard, it is very fulfilling.

    Cons

Dont really have anything negative to say. I LOVE my company. However, there is a lack of training for some of the new MT's (Manager Trainees) They come in not knowing anything about the business and because our operations are so fast-paced most continue on for months knowing very little.

    Advice to Management

The pay could be a little better considering we perform the work that would normally require four people. Oh, and also consider issuing company cars to cashiers and we'll be good. Just kidding

Good place to work, nice wages, friendly environment, team-oriented, always something to do, vacation time, so on so on etc

    Cons

Fast pace environment if you cant hire a high stress load, management does not allow you to excel and be recognivzed

    Advice to Management

Give recognition to your employers, allow the store to excel on its on without so much pressure on your staff

    Pros

Excellent pay, excellent benefits, management that understands you also have a personal life. Overall a great place to work especially for moms and college students.

    Cons

can be a bit like being in high school sometimes with the childishness of some of the employees and their little clicks. Also, you have to work 3 out of 6 weekends every rolling 6 weeks, so expect to work weekends.

I have been working at ALDI part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you put forth the effort, you are rewarded for it. Their promotions are not based on seniority, but on performance.

    Cons

You work your tail off. It is a very physical job, regardless of you're a cashier, store manager, or district manager.
