Face paced work, great pay and benefits.

    Pros

Great pay, full benefits including medical, vision, dental insurance and 401k. Many opportunities to advance. Great workout! Environmentally responsible, recycling and reducing waste is a big plus!

    Cons

Usually, at the store I worked in, there were only two to three people on the clock at all times. There is a lot of work to be done, long hours. It is stressful due to only having one other employee working with you. Hard to balance home and work life due to constantly having to work beyond scheduled hours.

    Not worth the stress.

    Pros

This company offeres decent pay, competitive benefits.

    Cons

Too much emphasis on efficiency. Throwing 60+ items off a pallet and onto store shelves in under 30 minutes, especially heavy items is not safe for anyone's body. If you are slower than average at physical tasks expect to be considered weak by those that can meet those quotas. Scheduling is a nightmare. As an 'at will, full time employee' you have open availability which means they do not care if you are only getting 9 hours between shifts. And bouncing from mornings to midshifts to afternoons in every order with no set days off means that there is no work life balance. The auto scheduling system throws red flags during schedule creation; there should be 11 hours between shifts, there should be one steady day off a week, Assistants should be working mostly midshifts, but it is all ignored. If your store is a smaller one, they only think 3 people on shift is all you need to make 30000 in profit a day. Tracked ring speed means cashiers are always stressed and rough with geoceries, as are the people working the floor, constantly being interrupted to ring while trying to accomplish tasks. Meanwhile any customers that need help can't find anyone because there are only 3 people in the entire store. Stores do not have enough labor hours to maintain standards of cleanliness or safety. There is no such thing as 'light duty' if you are sick or injured. There is no such thing as a call out if you are a manager. They cap the paid outs you can take from your sick time at 80 hours a year. Many employees have used sick time to bolster paychecks in lean weeks, which happen for 2 to 3 months out of the year. But after that cap, even though you will continue to accrue hours, you cannot take any payouts from the money you earned.
