I have been working at AMAG Pharmaceuticals as a contractor

    Pros

work time is quite reasonable and flexible; nice people to work with; lots of benefits such as occasional cakes for events, monthly free beer event, free fruits and coffees, etc; convenient commute (public transportation is very convenient)... etc.

    Cons

Some benefits are only for full-time employees. (Full-time employees have very good healthcare insurance plan and other fringe benefits)

    Advice to Management

Hire more people while expanding business.

    Pros

Technology Strong, CEO is smart and caring.

    Cons

Too much technology with poor training program.

    Advice to Management

Small groups should be trained live instead of long webinars that move too quickly. See it, do it, teach it would make greater use of the expensive tech investment.

I worked at AMAG Pharmaceuticals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very fast paced environment, many things to learn and many nice people. There is work on global projects. This is great place to get your foot in the door and gain experiences in clinical research that you may not have otherwise had.

    Cons

Not a lot of time for staff development and management could improve on professionalism to set an example to the rest of the staff.

    Advice to Management

Think about your actions and what type of leadership you display. Management should work on more team building activities and think about the benefits of diversity and what it brings to a company.
