    Pros

opportunity for advancement, fun industry, great training. They are a progressive company where advancement is based on accomplishment. Hard work counts

    Cons

difficult industry. hard to make money and the employee base is very transient. A lot of kids who are not full time and thus not that invested in what they do.

    Advice to Management

Continued training is important. reinvesting in staff is crucial to long-term success. The long-term success of the company is a good indicator of how well it recruits.

I worked at AMC Entertainment part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For a first job, this is a great place to learn cash handling, food prep, and customer service skills. The people you work with are also awesome because most are movie buffs, so you'll engage in some great cinema conversations/debates.
Free movies are always a plus!

    Cons

Pay rate is extremely low considering the amount of work you do.
Customers can be very entitled and rude, so you have to build a tough skin and not take things personally.
Cleaning theaters after kids movies will make you hate popcorn and soda forever.

    Advice to Management

Consider raising the hourly pay and offering discount on concessions for employees when they are not working.

This company has a great culture. It is a part time position so that means there is a large staff. Everyone's function relates to a larger picture of operations so there is a strong sense of team work. If you enjoy working with people and doing customer service, this is an excellent company.

    Cons

Low wages, minimum hours, best suited for students or retirees

I have been working at AMC Entertainment part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a really easy job most people are pretty chill and about half of management are very understanding

    Cons

The people who aren't chill are complete dbags and some of the managers are petty. If you get on their bad side you will be fired for a stupid reason and/ or get no hours.

    Advice to Management

I would tell my managers to chill out and don't take yourself so seriously
