I have been working at AMD (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work life balance
Learning is possible based on under which manager you are in.

    Cons

Company will thoroughly ruin your career with mindless management politics. They carefully select idiots as managers (atleast in some groups).

    Advice to Management

Stop politics & encourage hard working engineers.

I worked at AMD as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work life balance. Each and everyone from the team works their best, and expect the same from you. They will allow you to stay in your comfort zone so that you can do your best too. Talented colleagues.

    Cons

Frequent restructuring. I know it's necessary from business point of view, but that repels all the way to the leaves and makes the entire system unstable for few days. HR manages should look for employee benefits more carefully.

    Advice to Management

Provide relocation benefits to new comers, just like every other company in the game. It's necessary and appreciable for everyone who is new to the city.

I worked at AMD full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent work. One of the very few places in the world you'll get to work on next generation processor architecture using cutting edge technology.
Very open and friendly environment and culture.
Can change job roles easily to keep learning open and ongoing

    Cons

Very negative environment. Company is not doing good financially. You'll see projects getting cancelled. Attrition is high even at executive level. Company road map is constantly changing. It gives an impression that even higher management is not sure where to steer the company. Bonus comes very irregularly.

    Advice to Management

Please figure out where you want to take the company. Have a firm plan and stick to it, atleast for a 2-3 year term.
