I worked at AMD as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Respect for employee. I was first year masters student when I got internship with IT financial management in the summer. I was surprised I got medical benefit, even for two months only. Management were very kind and easy to communicate with. I still remember the short morning jokes everyday made by corporate executives before we started to work.

    Cons

AMD went through several layoffs and IT was the target every time. A lot of people I work with during the summer are gone.

    Advice to Management

Nothing bad you just did what a professional manager should do

Great place to work, great team and lot of in campus activities within the company. Lots of volunteering opportunities too and a chance to work with different teams

Most of the time, don't know what the other team is upto. Cafeteria is pretty average and expensive for being in campus

    Advice to Management

Great job! Please organize more activities for co ops and interns. Also hire more co ops as full time employees

I have been working at AMD as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Brilliant co workers. Excellent work life balance..onsite gym..location is very nice, on top of hills..opportunity to get fulltime offer. AMD interns usually get a greater amount of responsibilities compare to other companies which eventually improve their skillset.

    Cons

The company was not doing good for last few years..but now things started to change..very few perks..but thats ok since they were not on profit for a time.

    Advice to Management

I think Lisa Su is doing great!
