I have been working at AMLI Residential full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Competitive pay, room for growth, variety of locations, great benefits, AMLI is filled with people who truly care about their employees, residents, the environment and helping those in need. AMLI is by far my favorite company I’ve worked for. There’s so much more I could say but why spoil the surprises you’ll receive once you’ve become part of the AMLI family.

    Cons

I have no cons for working for AMLI besides being Oncall but that comes with the territory of a maintenance member and would be required at pretty much any company.

"Labor not appreciated, management forms clicks and hunts down good workers. Compensation far off."

I worked at AMLI Residential full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of company gigs including giving back to those in need. Platform and domain are helpful.

    Cons

Benefits are terrible and are way over priced. Hard work doesnt get you anywhere. Being a badass employee only gets you somewhere if your part of the inside click. Going above and beyond doesnt matter. They dont believe in anyone under management. Theyre quick to charge a resident or violate them to impress corporate, yet maintenance feels the direct affect. Community managers can literally have no maintenance background yet make vital decisions in regards to matters as such. AMLiMART is a disaster and waste of vital time.

    AMLI Residential Response

    June 16, 2017Recruitment Manager

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. I am sorry that were not happy working at AMLI. We have shared your review with the Austin leadership team. Our focus on culture and recognition of employees, especially at the on-site, associate level is one of our priorities. We have a significant number of employees who have been promoted, at least once in their career, often 2 or 3 times, based on their contributions to the success of the organization. We have Service Managers at each property who partner with our Community Managers, as well as our Directors of Building Operations to help to make all critical maintenance decisions. Employees are encouraged and rewarded for making suggestions to improve how we run our operations and service our residents. While I don’t know if during your employment you reached out to your Regional Manager, Regional President and/or HR to discuss your issues and to provide suggestions, you are still welcome to contact us to share more details. Best wishes for your success in your new role.

I worked at AMLI Residential full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Sorry there really aren't any they just need 20 words to accept the post. So here you go. AMLI fails

    Cons

Fake company culture. They don't care about anything at all besides lining their own pockets. Lots of extra hours being on call. Never once was paid overtime in 6 years of working there. They just make you take comp time and say they want you to spend time with your family. Total bs. Upper management has no idea what is really going on at the properties. Regional manager maybe visits once every few months. The president Mr Hallsey is a complete joke. Everyone in the company makes lots of jokes and has zero respect for him. One time he came to the property we literally had to put out a red carpet and stand there cheering with noise makers. How can you respect someone that gets off on that. Very weird. There is unfairness, favortism and nepotism at every level. It's all about whos the best brown noser. Worst company I have ever worked for. The motto between all the employees is if you can handle working here you will have no problem working anywhere else.

    AMLI Residential Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. I am sorry to read that you did not have a positive experience at AMLI, although I see you did work for us for 5 years. I hope that you developed knowledge and skills during your tenure. I am not sure if you ever raised your concerns to higher levels of management or Human Resources while employed. AMLI sends employees home when they hit 40 hours in a work week, or we pay overtime; so if you believe you are owed any such time/pay, please reach out to us immediately. Additionally, I have shared your comments with the leadership team. Hopefully your next position/company will be a better fit for you.
