I worked at ANCILE Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent health benefits and 401k program

    Cons

This company has processes in place that would be overkill at a company three times its size. Management (as far) as they let us see) is slow to make any kind of decision while strategic opportunities pass them by. They try to model themselves on their largest business partner, a slow moving software behemoth. There are a lot of talented people here, but the talent is wasted.

Not only are they entirely dependent of that single large reseller bundling their software, they are solely dependent on a single product that occupies what is essentially a niche market. They have tried to develop additional products, but they are their own worst enemy. Management diddles everything over and over until any marketing opportunity passes them by.. Without their single partner, they are incapable of bringing a new product to market, and they have no sales force to speak of.

The company has a very cliquish culture, with the original RWD employees being the in-crowd and everyone else being out. The treatment of outsiders ranges from indifference to outright hostility.

There is very little opportunity for professional development and career growth. The company doesn't seem to know where it's going.

    Advice to Management

Remove some layers of management, consider whether or not you would hire your current managers if they were applying today.

I have been working at ANCILE Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice Benefits and good Office Location

    Cons

This is first company; in a very long long time, I’ve wished I never signed the offer letter but I look forward to leaving.

    Advice to Management

This is a company that prides themselves on being voted 2011 Top Work Places in this area; in which they proudly display at the front door and remind you of it throughout the beginning of your tenure but when you look underneath it means nothing to them to actually and really be a Top Work Place!

To say the least, these votes that have allowed this company to be ranked so highly come from employees that have been there around for 5 years or more and employees that work remotely.

The trickle down of good feelings and well wishes stop at employees that have been around for a couple of years through RWD, gained middle management status. Some employees’ blatantly disrespectfulness, employee bias and ignorance go unchecked in my department. I’ve learned; in this company the happy employees are the ones that work abroad and/or remote but the even happier employees are members of the middle management cliques.

The corporate office of middle management cliques and chosen favorites, biases are well played out but become obvious, some middle management hold gossip ceremonies at their desk over IM about their employees, the ineffective, unseen and impotent upper management and Human Resources that see what goes on and does nothing especially when it involves one their well wished upon middle management that leads to abusive behavior and when upper management hears/see of this behavior they sit around like a deer caught in the headlights and even calling their attention to issues (open door policy) leads you to being ostracized, demonized and being told you’re the blame and they will protect their department by all means.
