I worked at APICS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Casual dress, good location (super easy commute on public transport)

    Cons

The executive leadership do not give any opportunities to midlevel people to help them advance. People stay stuck in the same jobs for years and then leave or get really jaded. APICS needs to value its people more with professional development and fair increases in pay.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people what they are worth-especially after their jobs change drastically. Give them titles to match as well.

I worked at APICS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I was employed at APICS for 6.5 years and for my career, it was the best job I've had. I was challenged daily (in a positive way), had room to grow and help make big decisions, and made many friendships that I still have. There's a lot of awesome policies (maternity/paternity leave, educational enrichment, business casual environment, gym access, deluxe healthcare package, etc) and APICS is striving to enrich those further. I feel lucky to be part of the team that helped the organization move forward in the industry. APICS really is growing (staff-wise and global reach). I picked up valuable skills that will stick with me during my ongoing career. I didn't give it a 5 out of 5 because that's reserved for the Dream Job which is working on the beach drinking a Dr Pepper.

    Cons

No company is perfect and what company doesn't have cons? I would have liked a more definitive work-from-home policy across the organization. But times are changing and this might be addressed soon.

    Advice to Management

Keep tapping your employees for good ideas to grow APICS. There's a lot of talent internally at the company. I was promoted from within and that only increased my dedication and skill set.

I worked at APICS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and great coworkers. There was great communication within the department. Start and end times were flexible. Lunch was also flexible. I truly enjoyed my time working here and would recommend it.

    Cons

Communication with other departments lacked at times, but was on a steady rise due to weekly/biweekly meetings established by department managers and directors.

    Advice to Management

    work providing better promotions.

I have been working at APICS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fairly diverse staff, as it relates to experience. Solid leadership from Executive team.

    Cons

Benefits are standard nothing out of theordinary that would keep you there over oterh offers.

    Advice to Management

Look for ways to make the job a "must have" , rather than a port in the storm. Staff generally feel easily replaced, and not valued.

I have been working at APICS full-time

    Pros

Marketing is fast-paced and forward thinking. Much more similar to for-profit marketing rather than association marketing. Great benefits: health care, time-off, casual dress, summer hours, flex schedule and more! Supportive and collaborative team environment.

    Cons

Not many, although there are a lot of meetings due to a lot of new initiatives -
     planning and strategy.

I have been working at APICS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Casual dress, nice people, great benefits

    Cons

No room for advancement, compensation is average, way too many meetings, underappreciative upper management, periods of high-turnover (combination of resignations and firings), lack of company culture...

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people - challenge and reward them.
