I have been working at ARC Document Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people are great and fun to work with. You can be yourself. The pay is competitive and the climate is ever evolving. There is a lot of diversity.

    Cons

The company is still merging over 200 smaller firms together and is struggling with some basic policies, procedures, and workflows. Most change seems to be driven by the west coast and little input from other areas is accepted, though this seems to be changing.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on your employees and let them take care of the customers. Listen to them and help elevate them. Modernize policies and procedures like other Silicon Valley companies. Invest in a certification program for your sales and tech teams so they are all on the same page. Build a internal promotion program, hire from within first.

I have been working at ARC Document Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It's a great place to work if you like being busy all day.

    Cons

They overwork their employees and they don't pay their employees there worth. Moral is not good and benefits are okay.

    Advice to Management

Don't care about the bottom line more than who gets you there. Employees make a company great, just ask the clients!

Keep doing what you are doing!

Management does nothing about habitually sick or late employees
No raises and No opportunity for advancement

    Pros

Leader in their space with great technology . Experienced management with track record of growth and financial responsibility.
Creating a start-up with cloud technology in a space that they dominate.

    Cons

Not a lot of public awareness about the technological advances .

    Advice to Management

Unify the messaging about the direction of the company, and update hiring process to attract the talent required to take the technology products to market quickly.

I worked at ARC Document Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Only good thing is the 401k.

    Cons

No on-the-job training in any department. No raises, wages as low as minimum wage. Very few people in management have education and experience. There seems to be a Happy Hour vibe in the company. No morals in some managers. Very poor communication, outright rudeness to the employees. HR doesn't help much.

    Advice to Management

Stop talking out of both sides of your mouths. Implement training programs for all new employees. Get rid of the "Good old Boys" club. Find managers that dont have the cave man mentality with regard to technology. And let go of the Neandertals.

I worked at ARC Document Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Twice yearly bonuses, 401K. VSP Insurance. Other insurance is too much, unless you join kaiser.

    Cons

No training, no raises, terrible managers in all departments. Depressing atmosphere in general.

I've never worked in a place where they don't say good bye when an employee leaves. This place has no regard for it's employees.

No career opportunities, no incentive to do better or educate yourself. As the managers aren't even educated. Most of them have limitations.

    Advice to Management

None that I'd like to share, except that having respect for others is always a good virtue.
