    Pros

Interesting place to work, but not a long term one for sure.

    Cons

To much change and no direction. Has to be part of the good ole boys network.

    Pros

    No micromanaging.
    Consistent work.
    Some opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

No real management. If you're at a satellite location, you'll probably never hear from management unless it's an email here or there. Review for satellite locations are baseless at best.

Pay is erratic. Meaning, push for a high starting salary if you can because you'll be lucky if you ever see a raise.

They're based out of CA, but NY area runs at a different pace. Higher ups are completely out of touch with those whose feet are on the ground doing the work.

    Advice to Management

Send out a report asking what can be done to improve the company, and actually listen. Every floater and employee I spoke to in my time with ARC was disheartened and looking to leave. Take care of your employees and they'll take care of the company.

I have been working at ARC Document Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay is good for consultants

    Cons

The account executives are not paid well, they get bonuses not commissions. CEO and COO have been with the company for over 20 years and they wonder why nothing changes.

    Advice to Management

CEO should just be on the board, he needs a new set of eyes to guide the company.

I have been working at ARC Document Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    No micromanaging.
    Management resolves issues fairly quickly.
    You're left alone....a lot.
    Benefits are ok.
Plenty of time to look for other jobs.

    Cons

    Underpay and undervalue their employees
    No room for growth
Raises are nonexistent. They'll lead you on with promises of an increase for years.
Disconnect between west and east coast. What works out there doesn't work on the east coast.
Owner/upper management is completely out of touch with majority of the employee base.

Tired of hearing how great the company (and ceo) is doing, yet they can't pay a decent wage. As long as Suri's vineyard is doing well, that's all that matters.

    Advice to Management

Make better use of your employees who want to grow within the company. Be more engaged with your remote locations. "No news is good news" is a crappy management style.

    Pros

    No micromanagement
    Relax environment
    Ok Work life balance

    Cons

Little or no increases at all
    You are just a number
No opportunity to grow within the business
    Poor management team
Employees hate working in there, they just go for the pay check
Working with the feeling that you will let go at any moment (usually they tell at 4PM on a Friday).

    Advice to Management

Their corporate office needs to do a management re-structure in the EAST coast. From NY to VA. Assess who is valuable. Give those people the opportunity to shine.

I worked at ARC Document Solutions (More than a year)

    Pros

A great cloud solution that is continuously being improved upon.
Introduction into the AEC world for other opportunities should you wish to embark on.
Global footprint with an array of services for its customers.

    Cons

Tenure employees must accept the company is trying to move into the digital age. They need to either get on board or simply move on instead making it miserable for everyone else.

Senior managers are purposely turning a blind eye and are not addressing these types of employees. The "good ol' boy" culture is detrimental to this company.

    Advice to Management

As long as senior operations management is on bonus compensation plans there will be no effort on their parts for investing in new talent, promoting employees within the organization or upgrading equipment and facilities.

There is no long term vision but instead selfish near sided short term earnings vision for themselves. With this modus operandi the company will not progress forward but instead will continue to stagnate.

The company must reevaluate and reassess its senior executive managers so that their individual goals will not prevent company success and growth while retaining exceptional employees
