I worked at ARC Document Solutions (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers pretty much throughout my local region. Depending on your skill set micromanagement is kept at a minimum. If technology is interesting to you, there are many opportunities to explore. Paid time off is adequate.

    Cons

Benefits were pretty pricey depending on elected coverage. Even though ARC is giant corporation there are a lot of mixed messages sent regarding procedures, value and focus. Pay raises were pretty much nonexistent.

    Advice to Management

Greater emphasis needs to be placed on becoming one complete entity versus regional factions that operate in their own ways. Regular reviews and pay raises need to happen on a consistent basis. My biggest piece of advice would be that if you're a company hoping to promote the latest technologies and trends, this ideology should also be practiced internally. In my experience, both employees and facilities lacked the same type of commitment from corporate.

    Pros

This company has survived an extremely long and deep downturn in the industry which it could have only done with good management. Many companies in the industry just disappeared. Through the good times and the lean times the company has taken care of it's employees and customers.

    Cons

The company has had to do dramatic downsizing which has caused a lot of employee discomfort and uneasiness. Could have been managed better.

I worked at ARC Document Solutions (Less than a year)

    Pros

To few to mention... the experience was miserable. No management support for color print salespeople.

    Cons

If you are hired as a Large/Small Format color salesman, expect to be completely ignored. The company is only interested in putting hardware, (copiers, printers, plotters) and software in customers hands.

    Advice to Management

Separate the two divisions and have separate management for both

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at ARC Document Solutions as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

hour options are 7-3:30 or 3-11:30, little supervision, if you get hired on permanently you get bonuses every 3 months and the pay is 15$

    Cons

i was told within 3 months of being temp you would be hired on permanently and then they said there was a hiring freeze and preceded to hire a few people on who knew people within the company already, I have been here for 7 months with no foreseeable end regardless of me asking multiple times.

    Advice to Management

Don't tell people they will be hired on within a certain time frame if it cannot be done. Follow up with people who are waiting for an update of their hiring status, to not openly favor some employees over others.
