I worked at ARC of Washington County full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Time spent with the individuals served is incredible rewarding. it i the reason anyone states with this job. Also if you ever need extra hours they are almost always available.

    Cons

Management has restructured countless times since the market dropped in 2008. this has left the agency with inconsistent structure, high turnover rate, poor employee moral and sadly the individuals served suffer because of it.

    Advice to Management

Be open in communicating with staff. Have a better screening process than hiring anyone off the streets. Make sure that the staff and individuals are appreciated and within safety compliance ratios.
