I have been working at ARIA Resort & Casino part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone says hello to you in the hallway, whether they know you or not. Managers and Execs are personable and approachable, and there are many opportunities to grow if you have the desire.

    Cons

Hiring process is slow, otherwise once you get in the door, no real cons. Benefits are there for the full-timers though it appears the higher up you go, the more you live at the hotel. Great workplace!

    Pros

Wish I could have worked here longer but I had to move out of state. Loved the people and managers. Great benefits and perks.

    Cons

Can honestly say there wasn't much I didn't enjoy about this job. Sometimes the employees coming for help could be a little rude and hard to deal with but overall it was a great experience.

I have been working at ARIA Resort & Casino full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A wonderful job to learn about what Las Vegas has to offer on every level. I have learned a plethora of information about restaurants, events, concerts, conventions, hospitality industry, night clubs, day clubs, tours in and around Nevada, Utah, and California, spa experiences, etc. Meet domestic and international travelers

    Cons

Extremely fast pace and must be able to deal with computer issues, uniform issues, stressed and upset guests when things have gone wrong during their stay. New and old venues such as shows, stores, and restaurants open and close constantly and you must be up to date on all.

    Advice to Management

Concierge is a great place to see where an employees strengths and weaknesses are as we deal with so many facets of the industry. Encourage or ask employees where they see them selves in the future of the company and assist within with internships.

I worked at ARIA Resort & Casino part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Hr pay 17.15 an hr
you only work 6 hrs a day. A hr lunch(paid) After preshit, you dont stary work til 8:30 and you rollout to count cash 30 mins before clock out. Only dealing with guest 6 hrs a day
3 sets of uniforms( Cleaned free for employers)
We are a big 140 staffed family

    Cons

    short staff always
Agents are getting promoted way to early, ( meaning not ready to manage)
Write ups are left too right, they do not believe in mistakes, and that we must be perfect.
If you can cover or catch your mistake before management does, no write up, but if they catch it, write up
Having to ask to go to the bathroom instead of just going, if nature calls, it calls
Commission is only 10 % the first night . Ex: You sell a CV for 30, only 10% of that...yep unless you sell 30 a day, then yes, but most guest don't bother to upgrade

    Advice to Management

Please dont promote those who are not ready, understand you are limit staff, but I rather have someone from another property who can do the job vs an agent promoted because your sign ups were little. Up the Pay! Those AFDM work hard and have a very tough job and to only make a dollar more, does not encourage other agents to become a AFDM.

    Pros

Great job. Great benefits. Wonderful group of people to work with.

    Cons

Management doesn't know what they're doing half the time. Turnover for management is huge which is the reason they're list.
