    Pros

Willing to adapt to new technologies. Contribute to industry initiatives.

    Cons

Too many acquired companies that lacks bonding/integration. As a result, lots of fragmented products.

    Advice to Management

Should explore integration opportunities among different acquired products.

    I worked at ARRIS full-time

    Pros

San Diego location has comfortable feel.
Many other tech companies near this location. Good networking opportunities.
Very mature products and management (pro and con)

    Cons

ARRIS has procured many companies to grow its business. Much restructuring over the years has caused a degree of chaos.
New products and management focused on the east coast with San Diego waning.

    Advice to Management

Provide more HR, team building and little perks to employees to gain better engagement and loyalty.

I worked at ARRIS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The coworkers were great and I made a lot of friends there. It was a friendly office environment.

    Cons

Communication between different offices needs to be improved. Also, people need to keep track of the things they are working on. If you go to somebody and ask for an update, they get upset when you tell them they were waiting for you to do a certain task or something.

    Advice to Management

Be kind to long term employees who put a lot of years in. Don't put them on a shelf and just start diminishing their duties. Keep them busy. Increase pay to your workers. I was getting the lower end of the range for my position. Increased pay means happier employees.

I worked at ARRIS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good Benefits (401k, PTO, health)
    Interesting work
    Engaged staff

    Cons

Incredibly weak upper management teams inhibited any real market analysis or the necessary critical thinking to succeed. Took at growing division [WorkAssure] that has a dominant market share and crippled it with a lack of vision (preferred an over reliance on customer ever changing demands) burdensome QMS and daily stand-up sessions. Worse, management lacked a desire to succeed as they themselves had no skin in the game. Upper management filled with 'good ol' boys' from Atlanta that had little interest in supporting remote teams.

Incredibly limited career growth opportunities across the organization.

Weak, weak, weak HR team. HR teams had no interest in supporting individuals career growth interests.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate all upper management [President, VPs (especially the VPs in and around Atlanta) overseeing remote offices and fill those positions with LOCAL managers that have an invested interest in their division's success.
