    Pros

Great pay, great colleagues, friendly environment where the sole goal is to further you as a person.

    Cons

At times the metrics you are held to are redicoulous and have no real standing on what you can affect.

I worked at ARRIS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people working at Arris mostly are nice. There is no work pressure. No deadlines.

    Cons

Hard work is not rewarded appropriately. Management has no clue about software engineering technologies or how to make a project or product successful. Employee performance management is a joke. Majority of the employees have lost touch with the latest technologies. Is a very management heavy organization. HR is a big joke too. Does not take any action in spite of getting feedback from employees about management not rewarding hard work and dedication. Senior Management has no Vision.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee feedback and especially those who are performing consistently rather than senior management who have hidden agenda

    Pros

Work hours were great, Set your own hours. Had to meet a minimum of drafting jobs to get done then could leave.

    Cons

The job was pretty much draw to show where the new cable would need to go to connect to whatever system they were trying to hook up. Wasn't all that exciting.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more so they can afford the Creature Comforts to offset the stress associated with production within their company

I have been working at ARRIS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits were finally good. Call center had a pokestop.

    Cons

Young leadership. Multiple call centers sustained by only one contract that has been canceled. Retail call center work contracted out, instead of going to Arris employees .

    Advice to Management

    Mange your expectations.

    Pros

Some affable, welcoming co-workers. Occasional lunch-ins. That's really about it, and it doesn't make up for the negatives.

    Cons

In the name of efficiency, you're not only tasked with troubleshooting U-verse services but also late repair appointments, billing disputes and contract disagreements. On top of these extra responsibilities is an attainment goal that's really a matter of chance, even if you met your "commitments". Unless the company hires you permanently you will not get paid days or holidays off, and holidays will be at the regular pay rate. Having at least one scheduled weekend day off is a luxury not enjoyed by most of the workforce.

    Advice to Management

Based on the workload and stress the employee is put through, 12.50 per hour is pittance. The high turnover isn't a worker problem - it's a management and planning problem.
