I worked at ASDA part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Staff discount
    - Very helpful, friendly colleagues
    - Very professional environment
    - Well organised workforce
    - Good training

    Cons

    - The job itself is incredibly dull, rotating stocks of bread and refilling cakes day in, day out
    - Fluctuating workload dependent on the staff on shift previously
    - I wasn't actually informed my job was a seasonal placement until a week before my contract was due to end, which was pretty out of order

    Advice to Management

On the whole the management at the Bodmin store were very nice to me so I don't feel I should be giving them any advice, however a little teambuilding exercise here and there wouldn't have gone amiss to break the tedium of a pretty dull job, maybe a full disclosure that the job was only a seasonal slot wouldn't have gone amiss either. Also to accept that a single facial piercing isn't the end of the world so being asked to remove a nose ring in front of customers isn't perhaps the most professional way of handling a non-issue in the 21st century.
