I worked at ASSA ABLOY full-time

    Pros

Plenty of positions to higher into. Cross company opportunities and growth are plentiful.

    Cons

Corporate mentality for achieving numbers is harden to the fact they are willing to cut key and experience personnel.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of current sales force structure and allow individual divisions to provide for their own sales.

I worked at ASSA ABLOY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Plenty of paid holidays, good benefits, compensated mileage and good coworkers

    Cons

Company moves very slow. Projects are re prioritized every couple of weeks

    Advice to Management

Actually use the lean strategy you say you use. Switching priorities and loading multiple projects onto individuals only slows down development.

I have been working at ASSA ABLOY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Training is very thorough and everyone is easy going. Decent pay for what work is being done and what is expected per day as far as production.

    Cons

First shift hours start very early. The parking lot could be a bit bigger, as of now it causes some issues.

    Advice to Management

    None needed.

I have been working at ASSA ABLOY full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Stable, fast growing, good pay (not great), large company you can make a career with if you choose, global, opportunity for growth

    Cons

Not as up to the times with their compensation and benefits as other similar technology type companies.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more innovative with your HR, not just your products. Become modern and you will become an elite employer.

I worked at ASSA ABLOY full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

ASSA ABLOY is a true innovator, with amazing opportunities to learn about cutting edge technologies and manufacturing processes. The product breadth, and willingness to invest in new technologies and concepts is unparalleled.

    Cons

Management views employees as expendable resources that are easily replaced. Profit is the most important goal, and missing targets is not tolerated, regardless of the root cause. Expect to work a ton of hours, and there is no such thing as work-life balance. You are on-call all the time. If you are non-exempt (an hourly employee) then expect to work a lot of overtime when they are busy, and have a lot of unpaid time off when orders are slow.

    Advice to Management

Bring in some outside consultants to teach senior leaders what respect looks like in the workplace.

I worked at ASSA ABLOY full-time

    Pros

Forward thinking company and lots of good people.

    Cons

Our branch had a combative (with customers) manager who set an overly competitive mindset with the internal team. (Manager since removed from position)

    Advice to Management

    Focus on product quality first.
