I have been working at ASSA ABLOY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work alongside the development team on a SaaS program. This environment is not only encouraging and supportive, I find it to be one of the few development teams that I've worked with that are incredibly self-motivated and hold themselves to a higher standard with each release. I've worked on major releases with the team, and have been impressed with the level or professionalism and expertise. The team really tries to look at everyone - internal or external - as customers, and endeavors to support that.

There's a great atmosphere with this team. A good work-life balance and active lifestyle is highly encouraged by senior management, as they view this to be fundamental to day-to-day experiences & stress management. It's a flexible office environment.

The highlight of working with this team is that management is open to suggestions for any area of improvement, so if someone is looking to forge a path within a great company, it could definitely be found here. It's ultimately up to each employee to take senior management feedback during reviews and be transparent & openly discuss a desired career path.

    Cons

It's a large global organization, and without proper management, guidance and communication, it could be easy to feel like you get lost within the organization.

    Advice to Management

As large as the organization is, it's possible to feel a little lost, especially for new employees. It's helpful for new employees to be exposed to the vast opportunities and resources available early on, and even beyond the initial start.

I have been working at ASSA ABLOY full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Hourly pay is good

    Cons

Management is not for the employees. Management Never does a thorough investigation of problems employees have to endure. Senior employees make it hard for newcomers. Most employees are always concerned about other employees vacation when it is used, how much they get paid more than the other, always spreading rumors about each other. It’s like a big high school of 40+year old men and women. Employees that have been there 10+years feel invincible and irreplaceable and management gives them the fuel to keep that going. No matter how hard you work your yearly raise will always be the same. No room for growth at all. There is racial tension and divide. Worse experience ever working in the industrial and manufacturing field.

    Advice to Management

Fire or train human resource better. She is hardly never at work or available. Management needs to be more involved with employees besides the work needing to be put out. They do not work on the floor to know what employees have to deal with concerning other employees on a daily bases. Have some ethical or cultural training classes for all employees. Allow employees room to move around to other positions instead of keeping them on one job just because their production is great in that department. Stop letting employees think they run facility and think their managers too. Enforce rules and reprimand employees instead of just having “talks” with them.

    Pros

    Good hours
    Nice coworkers

    Cons

    Everything else.
Management lacks communication MAJORLY and blames their employees when things go wrong.

When employees take concerns to their managers they are suspended and accused of being insubordinate.

There is no organization in this company, they will over work you, leave you with no resources and constantly add to your work load which was never part of your job description upon hire with no incentives.
Fired me on a basis of leaving work on an ER visit that lasted hours

    Advice to Management

Fix who you hire for management and review the people that you have currently. They are clueless. Oh I worked at the monroe nc location. I promise I will never recommend this place to anyone as long as I live.
