Not relevant, they don't listen anyway.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Innovative, moving towards the right coaching methods, fantastic if there is team alignment and a great leader in place.

    Cons

Wrong people in upper management. It's just like professors they either make you or break you. Long hours, and if management doesn't like you they'll try to get rid of you by forcing you out with crap schedules or anything that they can think of because they're not hitting their goals so they have to blame it on someone.

    Advice to Management

Since AT&T is union there is a separation from Reps vs management. A team is a team! EMBRACE IT, it'll only help you succeed!

    Pros

The pay was good, and the benefits were amazing. The hours I didn't find to be too bad at all, compared to other jobs.

    Cons

The way sick days are now handled is very frustrating, if you are out sick for 7 days you are automatically terminated. 7 days in a whole year is not good for someone with kids, or even if you get the flue once you are done.

    Advice to Management

Make sure managers that get promoted actually know what they are doing instead of having them guess as they go along. It makes for a very frustrating time as an employee

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Professional environment, great products, good service, and a national presence. They offer good benefits, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement. There is lots of upside.

    Cons

It's a retail job, so that means retail hours. You work most weekends (including Sundays) and nights, and you don't get any time off for holidays (so no travelling plans). So, family/friends time will be sacrificed. Also, if you get assigned/transferred to a store with an incompetent / egotistical manager in place - it can make a life a living hell. You will do all the work so that they can live it easy. So, make sure you see eye to eye with the store manager FIRST before agreeing to work there.

    Advice to Management

Don't just visit the store for an hour. Have your ARSM and DOS actually sit in for a day to see how the store is really ran, and who actually does the work.
