I worked at AT&T (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Unionized jobs so there is a built in filter. Salaries and benefits are great!

    Cons

Management does not know which direction they are headed leaving the employees to scramble to come up with an answer for the customer.
They purchased DIRECT-TV when they already had Uverse. The management structure changed and a lot of Direct TV executives were inserted into AT&T management. Decided it was a requirements to sell direct TV as their TV option leaving us to redirect customers to a product they did not want.

    Advice to Management

Bring the employees up to speed from a loyalty standpoint and hire local managers that are managers. Typically managers have no formal training directing employees.

I worked at AT&T (More than a year)

    Pros

Great job overall! My managers were awesome, very positive, and driven. Good benefits. Great pay if you worked hard.

    Cons

If you're just starting out you work all weekends until you earn seniority. ATT is very strict on attendance and are usually on closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    Advice to Management

Try not to micro manage because that just makes the RSC'S feel like we're in daycare, and we're not. It's a professional work place.
