    I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Great benefits. Several internal opportunities for advancement. Fantastic internal training opportunities for new technology education. Collaborative management culture with opportunities to get decision input from various organizations.

    Cons

    Can be a bit bureaucratic. Difficult to change entrenched “we always do it this way” mentality from long term managers. Needs to be more nimble and able to change direction rapidly as technology and customer need changes.

    Pros

    Pay. Simply said I stayed for the pay and the discounts on tv, internet and mobile phone. Not much else to say.

    Cons

    I did not appreciate their sense of "know it all" from upper management and executives. They make a lot of decision based on what they think and do not actually listen to the people that are face to face with our customers. They are so confident in their decision making that they will often implement new systems or software without first doing a BETA test which creates a lot of chaos for all. This in turn wastes a lot...

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees, not just a bs enps survey, but really listen and do what will be better for both the company and its employees, not just stockholders. AND do a BETA test before launching ANYTHING. It will save you time, money and resources in the long run.
