    I worked at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay if you have the work ethic necessary
    Great benefits med/dental retirement

    Cons

Never a consistent schedule don’t know how long you will be working day to day.
    Managers are average .
No one wants to take responsibility for anything and it’s always someone else’s fault.
Technicians have no trust or faith in their management.
Managers will clock out and not answer their phone when they still have technicians still out in the field working after dark in un safe conditions on a ladder in a remote location.
If I wanted to jeopardize my safety on an almost daily basis I would have stayed in the military.
It’s only tv. In Arizona people think tv is an emergency. It’s unreal.

    Advice to Management

Promote actual leaders not people who are two faced liars that no one trusts. If I had actually had a manager I would probably still be working for At&t.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay as compared to other IT call center jobs. Great learning experience and
way to hone customer service skills. Never a shortage of hours (in fact, you'll be required to work about 52 hours a week without choice).

    Cons

Mandatory over time; extremely stressful job; horrible, unintuitive, unintelligently designed issue resolution generator that you're required to use at risk of losing your job and essentially removes any necessary human intelligence from the troubleshooting (often leading to improper resolutions).

    Advice to Management

I can offer advice all day long, but at the end of the day, the management at ASAP Staffing (the company you really work for) can do nothing about really anything. AT&T can pull their contract at any time if they want. And since ASAP, and subsequently the ASAP employees get paid by AT&T, AT&T is the one with all the pull. My only advice would be to fix their staffing issues. Overtime should be a choice. Forced overtime with never an end in sight only makes an employee resent their employer.

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere with the freedom to run your "business" as you see fit.

    Cons

Departments can be very silo. It can feel as though, no one really knows what the next person is doing. A lot of busy work and checking boxes that do not really matter.

I worked at AT&T as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Interesting technology and many newer and changing opportunities for individuals to develop their talents with a world class company, while also developing a flexible career.

    Cons

The diversity of the many technologies which the company employs can push the learning curves and adaption of employees to changing tech to become frustrating, particularly if you are an employee that is unfortunately stuck in a legacy technology which is slowly becoming more obsolete, but still needs bodies for many years to go.

    Advice to Management

Consider developing appropriate contracting channels for specific programs which are in decline and planned removal so that younger employees do not get stuck with responsibilities which later make them more vulnerable to downsizing.
