I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work atmosphere, Excellent Benefits, paid time off, employee discounts, great team environment. That is only to name a few.

    Cons

I never really have any cons. There is really nothing that comes to mind for cons. I wish I could have started with AT&T many years ago.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time

    Pros

Great benefits. The people are easy to work with and the company tries to retain contractors. Sick leave and time to work on personal training come in handy when someone is trying to maintain their hours.

    Cons

Been in the same position for almost a year. Got industry certifications and I'm still required to get another one that's not recognized by anyone else to move up. Seems to me that I'm qualified but not getting promoted especially when I get better offers that require no more education than what I already have.

    Advice to Management

Help employees plan out what position they want and how to get there. The goals set are nice but some of us don't know what it takes to get to the level we want. Showing us what we need to get the job is much better than leaving us to figure it out and request unnecessary certs.

  4. "A good place to start off, but hard to stay long term because of benefits and HR problems."

    Pros

Flexible working hours and management tried to keep employees after government contracts ended. Company 401K matching contributions were competitive.

    Cons

Medical benefits were limited to a consumer drive high deductible plan, or a low quality HMO. Education benefits were limited to certain fields of study. Human resources and benefit information is hard to find among different websites. Too much reliance on technology to address HR needs.

    Advice to Management

Improve employee benefits and make it easy for an employee to be an employee within the company. Too much time is wasted trying to handle employee HR and administrative issues.
