    Pros

I have been working with AT&T for over 7 years now, you have great learning opportunities if you have the yearning to learn.

    Cons

Slow growth on promotions. You have to be at the right place and at the right time to go to the next level.

    Advice to Management

Give the opportunity to great talent by letting them grow, move over nonvisionary senior management.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The work-life balance and cost structure are great.

    Cons

The company is very unstable; constant quarterly surplus calls and requests for employees to voluntarily resign for a compensation package to cut costs.

    Advice to Management

Make better investment decisions so that employees don’t run the stressful risk of being laid off so often.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, valuable skills training, great benefits.

    Cons

Based on efficiency and there were always things that affected our efficiency that we had no control over and the managers knew it and would still make it seem as though your efficiency was your problem.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

AT&T discount on all services not really sure what else to put here. Really no pros to being a tech

    Cons

This company treats the technician like crap. Techs are the ones in the front line installing service in customers home. They keep increasing the workload without pay. Management treats you like crap and talks to you like a child. We should only have to work Monday-Friday due to certain troubleshooting departments are closed on weekends so we can’t solve the customer issue sometimes on the weekend. No opportunity to move up regardless of past experience other departments will not consider you for a job because your a tech.

Major change in culture when AT&T took over for Bellsouth. AT&T Management doesn't pay attention to experienced employees recommendations.

    Pros

    Cons

Managements only job is to find you doing something wrong...

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

good pay, benefits, good people, good business with future although highly competitive

    Cons

bureaucratic environment. Things move like molasses, their Atlanta business is going the way of the dinosaurs. A little depressing. People here are just praying to keep their jobs. Just not a healthy vibe

    Advice to Management

It is a tough business but please ensure that employees are happy. Please provide basic facilities like coffee, flex work options, don't treat us like just another statistic, help maintain facilities, pay for maintenance. My office is filthy... no amount of complaints have helped fix it. I guess I need to take matters in my own hands and rent a steam vacuum.
