I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

great benefits, competitive pay; laid back work environment

    Cons

limited chance for advancement; inconsistency in treating employees and must belong to the union yet I received more benefits before we were union

    Advice to Management

Managers need more consistency for treating employees. It seems like the people that produce or attend the least get the most attention and reward

    Pros

Great atmosphere, team members help each other, managers are fair in work assessment, diverse group, always something new or changing, so the job stays fresh.

Pay. You’ll find lots of folks with second jobs

    Advice to Management

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Half off cell service, direct Tv free plus discounts to add more channels, benefits are good and the pay is better than similar jobs.

    Cons

Out sourcing jobs like Mine overseas. Cap on pay after 5 years. We have been waiting for a new contract since Feb.

    Advice to Management

Management is good. It's higher up that controls the cons.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working hard will pay off in the long run with this company, Also diversity is a highly visible aspect of our every day job regardless of the level you are at.

    Cons

Salary could be more competitive to the industry standard for the types of job titles we have. Currently for certain jobs they are under the standard which causes us to lose managers who are truly the future of this company. We also see other companies steal the "Good" managers from our organizations due to this issue.

    Advice to Management

Look at the management salaries to ensure they are competitive for each the industry standard, Also look at jobs that potentially could telecommute to help with being market competitive

I have been working at AT&T (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is quite competitive and benefits are very good. Most management are well qualified for their jobs, however don't expect to go far if you don't play the corporate game. Its not about how good you are, its about who you know or even better who knows you.

    Cons

Wireless sector is saturated and expansion is minimal, don't expect to go far if you don't want to work in their various other sectors of the business such as Directv, Digital Life, Cricket or Business Sales.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to get your employees noticed and promoted. There are a lot of great employees who bend over backwards and don't get the recognition they deserve.

    Pros

They offer a flex worker policy

    Cons

They are making certain departments move to Dallas in order to keep your job. They only offer HR jobs in Dallas. We offer all these products for companies t be efficient and effective while working from home, but our own company does not allow that in roles that you could very well perform from home. They are also replacing virtual positions with ones that have to be located in certain locations.

    Advice to Management

    Quit being hypocrites

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Massive amounts of training...you will never run out of training options, be it mandatory or voluntary.

    Cons

60-70 hour weeks, benefits are average at best, management is defensive and spontaneous, aged systems and processes that do not fit with today's technology, poor service management which is customer effecting.

    Advice to Management

The services which seem to be cutting edge are 5 years late out of the gate. 3rd party call centers may save money but they are destroying the companies image and customer faith.
