    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You will get to work on leading edge software technology with good benefits, including a wealth of different training options.

    Cons

You can get burned at this fast paced company. As a management employee, you have to agree to be available to serve as a front line technician in the event of a work stoppage.

    Advice to Management

Be careful to keep a culture where employees feel valued.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - work/life balance (hardly ever have to work on the weekends)
    - 23 paid vacation days after four-years of employment
    - good benefits
    - able to work from home on occasion

    Cons

    - virtually no work culture in Bay Area office
    - below-market salaries
    - personal career growth is slow, take matters into your own hands: ask for new opportunities, take training, and know when to leave!

    Advice to Management

    - put people in positions to reach their full potential

I have been working at AT&T (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Wages, benefits, training, a Job Direct discount

    Cons

Directorso talk so negative to there employees and support group. They expect you to be super human while they sit around and play work. And I mean play work! Horrible collaboration.

    Advice to Management

Take diversity training. I can not understand how this company rank high in diversity when when the workforce is lopsided with internationals.

    Pros

Great benefits, vacation allowances and location flexibility. Excellent access to employee development training to change career paths within the company.

    Cons

Downsides are typical office politics common to large corporations.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Technology growth and employee development is very extensive. Strong company culture. Spirit of continuous challenge and personal growth. Active transformation in our Fortune 6 company with expansions from traditional communications into data analytics, mobile communications and devices, growth into entertainment with expansions via Time Warner and Latin America via DIRECT acquisition. Excellent 401 (k) match of 80% for the 1st 6% of salary allocated to 401 (k) resulting in 10.8% savings to retirement each year. Great benefits and tuition plans. Recognized as one of Fortune Magazines Best Places to Work. I have been here 31 years and while there have been challenges each and every year I am proud of my company and I have many great friends here.

    Cons

You have to constantly grow and reinvent yourself to ensure your relevance in our workforce and fully embrace change. This is a challenge, not a negative. I think of the time tested axiom, "change or die".

    Advice to Management

Always lead by example, not just edict. Always choose integrity over expediency.

    Pros

Flexible work locations & spaces; no matter your field of expertise, there's a place at AT&T for you.

    Cons

Individual supervisors may need coaching in supervisory skills.

    Advice to Management

Provide paid time coaching to supervisors. Find a way throughout the company to allow 360 feedback to supervisors who may need supervisory skill improvements, but do not know they need improvements.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent training curriculum, benefits, and skill development opportunities!

    Cons

Status Quo is highly discouraged. You've gotta be nimble, willing to implement and embrace change, and comfortable with being stretched beyond your comfort zone.

    Advice to Management

Support your Employee Resource Groups, offer more mentoring opportunities, be more candid with wages in comparison to the industry. AT&T is highly competitive in pay and benefits; employees may suffer from "the grass is greener" syndrome.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A great place to work and build various skills sets. The company drives employees to re-skill themselves by providing resources such a college reimbursement, online courses and capstones in high demand focus areas and internal leadership classes.

There are many opportunities to move into various roles so you can continue to grow. There is opportunity available if you want it!

    Cons

A large company can have alot or red tape and processes to slow down implementing ideas, but it's something they are working to improve.

    Advice to Management

Increase diversity in leadership roles with women and people of color. Majority of diversity is in non management and lower managerial jobs.
