I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great pay, incentives, and benefits. They had alot of blitzes with food.

    Cons

Too big of a company. Transferring the customer to right place was a true issue. Some things were out of your control and you had to just let it go. Building outdated only one microwave to share with more than 30 people at a time.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Overall company culture is good. The Fiber team is an anomaly.

    Cons

Awful, incompetent management team, inadequate ramp period ( 2mo), multiple sources calling on same prospects, fraudulent orders. No formal training. Poor culture. Inconsistent policies regarding working form home. Managers never come in but call and harass sales reps about being in the office every day. Constant threats about being placed on performance plan.

    Advice to Management

Stop paying Account Managers and Fiber reps on same orders - more scrutiny on orders- too much fraud, Provide longer ramp, Ease up on the pressure to make quotes or extend ramp, hire more sales engineers. Promote mature tenured men and women into management positions and train them on how to manage and motivate employees. The college fast track program is not producing quality managers. I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Benefits, compensation, no traveling, decent hours

    Cons

Layoffs are a regular occurance because they don’t want to pay people. They’d rather hire cheap overseas. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been a great asset or a solid employee. Once you hit 15+ years, you go to the chopping block. They give 90 days to get another job & then pull all of them. Sad.

    Advice to Management

Good luck when no one knows what they are doing because you drove all the talent out.

    Pros

Compensation, Benefits, work to life balance

    Cons

Insisting on everyone being in a collaboration zone

    Advice to Management

The company gave up a lot of great employees because they were not in a preferred city.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits, discounts, etc. Work from home is available but the company actually seems to be going away from it. Good mid-level management.

    Cons

Growing size is only making the job more confusing. Processes are terrible and confusing. Projects go nowhere. You feel like you are not doing any actual work.

    Advice to Management

Clean it up. Need better processes, more teams splitting up the massive projects that are being given to IT. Get better people in there.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits and Pay. Onsite amenities and facility.

    Cons

    Poor leadership and management culture

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting long-timers simply because they have been at the company. The world is changing quickly and the younger employees are the solution to your future. Not the ones waiting for retirement.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

AT&T is truly a great company to work for. They invest a lot in employee well being and satisfaction in general. Working in customer service is tedious and exhausting no matter how much you love your job, but AT&T make the experience of working in a call center a little less stressful.

    Cons

AT&T has lost its competitiveness as a mobile service provider, unfortunately due to bad investments ( Direct TV) and our customers can smell this a mile away. The company is desperate to generate $$ and even has tech support up selling on calls. Also they have been outsourcing a lot lately and that is just a horrible maneuver for any American company.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible work environment, work from home option and good benefits, great culture to advance your career in different aspects

    Cons

Worry about surplus on your position on a yearly basis, lots of politics in work environment, lots of departmental reorganized on a yearly basis

    Advice to Management

Quality people are hard to find, surplus gets rid of quality resources, and too much politics are played when deciding a position.
