    Pros

    AT&T is culturally diverse. They offer great benefit packages to their employees. A majority of employees from all levels of the corporation are self motivated, and share that motivation with their teammates.

    Cons

    Trainers were being replaced by web based courses when I left the company. This removes the human interaction from the process, and does not allow the trainers to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment into new and current employees.

    Pros

    50% cell. $10dtv , and great pay

    Cons

    mislead customer service and job title changed 2 months after i was hired. compensation you get 2 mths , maybe after you sell. you dont get to save sell nobody takes responsibilty for customers being lied to my corporate and authorized agents. no work life balance even though we have an app to schedule for flextime ..the new call center manager personally has a good heart but corporate is making a mockery of his abilities for results . The center is going to close in very soon since there is only 50 people there at a time.

    Advice to Management

    mgmt stop treating adults like kids . high fives , stickers, fist bumps but no career advancement as we were promised in interviews...

    Advice to Management

    Stop hounding about sales when the customer can’t afford the services they already have. Also don’t lie to us and say we get an incentive for sales when we we’re customer service based center the the next day we’re in a full blown sales position.

    I have been working at AT&T (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Pro : $$$, highest paying job I've had yet. Highest paying job around Champaign county. Great benefits such as 401k, paid vacation, 50% discount off of service and we also get incentive money off of sales that we make.

    Cons

    PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE. Now that the center has become a sales center its so much pressure from upper management to meet crazy sales goals. A lot of the managers don't know the first thing about selling. The mix between sales and services is confusing for both you and the customer. Customers calling in about their bill and you're expected to try to sell them 3 new different services regardless of what they say.

    Advice to Management

    1. Stop with all the pressure or Att is going to go down like Wells Fargo.
    2. Try to help with selling vs. just spitting out sales goals

    Pros

    Good healthcare and there are plenty of different jobs and positions available. The pay is decent, as well.

    Cons

    Constant change and unethical practices are ignored.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on doing the right thing every time rather than on metrics that don't really matter.

    Pros

    Room for advancement. Management are upfront from day one on the constant changes in the industry. Steady raises. Great benefits

    Cons

    Inconsistencies from one manager to the next. Some micro management. The environment can be very cliquey. Upper management hard to trust

    Keep your CSRs informed. Lack of communication should not be an issue in a communication industry

    Pros

    Its Good pay, after raises. Possible moving up in company with training and school. Good 401k, benefits to an extant, Union, incentives like winning items.

    Cons

    Change to sale position, could be more understandable when it comes to unforseen issues with illness, family. Strict point system when trying to transfern to different city

    Was a good job, but now more of a sales position I feel it would be better if sales wasn't pushed and now a requirement

    Every once in a while have fun activities planned for families.

    Manager coachings, sale quotas, micromanagement, talked down to, and babysat.

    Ease up on sales, the added stress to your old CSRs doesn't help keep employees happy.

    Pros

    Lots and lots of vacation time and quick raises even though they max out pretty quickly. Good overall benefits

    Cons

    ATT call centers are not environments for a thinking man. They need everything done their way one word different or even the smallest deviation from scripted language is reason for termination. I feel like a trained monkey there.

    Advice to Management

    Ease up a little bit. If the job is getting done and customers are happy maybe u could get off your reps back
