I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

AT&T does have good benefits. The pay scale is better than many jobs in a blue collar region. Sometimes a friendly environment to work.

    Cons

It's a very loud environment. Clearly rules do not apply to everyone. Plenty of stress to sell. Plenty of favoritism and backstabbing.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

On a modified bus line with a flexible work schedule. You get benefits and you do get discounts on your phone bill however they jack up the price so that you pay the same amount as everybody else which is too high

    Cons

You're expected to do the maximum amount of work with the minimum pay they cause more stress but do not allow for you to take the time that is needed to de-stress they do not care about your home life you are a number

    Advice to Management

Remember that your workers are just as important as your customers and without your workers there would be no business

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay good. And decent benefits. Transitioning from just a phone company to an entertainment company. Just recently purchased Time Warner

    Cons

Hard to move around to other departments. Certain areas are downsizing so fast that as employees you are not sure if moving to a particular department is good for your future with the company

    Advice to Management

Listen to the front line employees. I mean listen and make adjustments based off what they say

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Easy to get Saturday and Sunday off. This call center is Closed on Sundays. For the most part great co-workers and Managers.

    Cons

This company could careless about their employees, your more a number or really the higher your sales the more they might care. Very hard to get true answers about anything labor related. Area managers only care about your sales. I have always went over and beyond on my sales. I had surgery and was out four months and treated like they didn't even know who I was. no one checked up to make sure I was even alive and when it came to a question about insurance or short term disability it was pass the buck then sent to 3rd party to discuss my options and medical needs and diagnoses which I could swear is against the HIPPA laws.

    Advice to Management

Floor managers keep up the great job your doing, area managers remember where you started and upper managers that make the decision but we never see you, be more caring about all your staff and customers.
