I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, great benefits. Vacation time is great as well. Open area on the floor is great so it isn't so segregated

    Cons

The stats system by which we're rated on is ridiculously asinine. Its based on customers reviews of the COMPANY, not the rep. Because of this change, the bonuses are basically non-existent. As well as the attendance policy is almost impossible to meet unless you have a medical condition that allows you to take off time since vacation time is almost impossible to use in last minute situations.

    Advice to Management

Stop making it seem as though the reps aren't working hard to get those stats that you want. Be more compassionate and realizing it is hard and you barely have to deal w/ it.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, good hours, good benefits

    Cons

Pay is largely performance based, hard to get time off

    Advice to Management

Lessen the focus on sales, having to sell someone a cell phone because their home phone isn't working is a bit out of line.

I have been working at AT&T

    Pros

good pay good training on how to sell helping customers

    Cons

extreme amount of pressure to sell and upsell confined to desk all day constantly in fear that if you forget to do or say something that it will result in disciplinary action

    Advice to Management

Stop all the pressure to sell, sell, sell already! Customer service does NOT always equate to selling a customer something.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at AT&T

    Pros

if you know what your doing you can make a lot of money. great chances for advancement and good pay and benifits.

    Cons

The only thing that I have to complain about is the hours. they work you to death and you will have no life outside of att.

    Advice to Management

When you hire management, please take their IQ into question. Some of the upper management are absolute dingbats. When selecting managers within stores make the selection process fair

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at AT&T

    Pros

Pay, Benefits, Hiring of people over the age of 40 +

    Cons

Time off with pay in case of emergency not only get paid if you have contract time available

    Advice to Management

I believe they need to get away from Numbers and Percents that they put on the CSR's , so the CSR's can resolve the customers issues with the one call resolution

I have been working at AT&T

    Pros

Tier 1 old school veterans make great union pay. New hires since 2006 make almost a third of the wage and NO pension for the same work.

    Cons

micro management. If your a new hire your good to go as long a commission is ok. If your a veteran rep, watch out your on the butcher block. 16 teams of 15-20 reps, and depending on which team your on thiers a different set of rules.

    Advice to Management

Senior management gets advice from the vice president not from below. Irrelevant.
