    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

CWA union job, got us paid decently. Directv was who I worked for directly. We got free Directv service.

    Cons

Months after CWA negotiated a higher salary, AT&T "surplussed" our office. Watching work my office had done for years being thrown into the scrap pile in favor of software automation was difficult.

    Advice to Management

Keep American jobs. Too many jobs outsourced to India, Mexico, and the Philippines. Customer experience is really suffering lately with agents not able to understand basic English.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay. Great benefits. Great education benefits and learning opportunities. Schedule and days off change every 3 months for my department. Good for some, bad for others. AT&T is worldwide great opportunities if you have specialized training.

    Cons

Great job , but lacking cohesiveness. There needs to be consistency. Alot of entitled customers that know the system. Can improve on so many levels.

    Advice to Management

Communicate, listen to your employee suggestions to help our company improve.

Re-evaluate your internal salary structure for loyal employees who get promoted from within.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Before AT&T took over this was a great company to work for.

    Cons

-no longer opportunity for 10hr shifts
    -worse shift tours
    -no raises
    -won't negotiate a new contract
    -greedy ceo
    -no job accommodations for schedules
    -outsourcing and offshoring all work
-getting rid of systems and using old outdated systems
    -horrible healthcare
    -too much monitoring
    -no overtime incentives
-no company food events like before
-no money for new headsets , but money for phones that were not broken

    Advice to Management

Negotiate a contract . Follow directvs old model and care about your employees instead of being a greedy company offshoring and outsourcing all work.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

AT&T seems to be keeping their premise technicians from layoffs due to union intervention. They give you some paid vacation that accrues the longer you work there. You are given Dental, Vision, and Health benefits that come at a high cost but something is better than nothing. If a military style of management structure is your cup of tea then look no further than AT&T.

    Cons

Declining wages year after year since AT&T took over DIRECTV. Health benefits rates went through the roof and bonuses have been decreased to the point of the effort to get them is not worth the extra pay. Management switches up their strategy to manage employees routinely and leaves employees questioning managements motives. Psychological stress from management is overbearing and impacts every aspect of the job. One word of advice is to stay far away from AT&T!

    Advice to Management

Management please understand that your CUSTOMERS are YOUR EMPLOYEES TOO!! or "where" your customers. CEO made millions even tens of millions of dollars in bonuses last year but took away a significant portion of its DIRECTV employee's bonuses that equaled way less than a percent the CEOs bonuses. Multi billion dollars in revenue company that only wants to make its share holders pocket explode with money and takes it from the people that help generate its revenue, the EMPLOYEES. Share the wealth and give back to the community that supports you. Sincerely the Employee

there was no proper management which set, and encourage there employees support them, and every time it's more on to the businees
