I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

What our company excels in is providing all employees, regardless of level, the opportunity to improve. Top notch training and development is offered to all, which equips us to performance well in our current roles, as well as prepares us for other roles.

    Cons

You have to bring your A game to work everyday. We are saturated with high performers so it's easy to get lost in the shuffle if you don't take charge and invest in your success.

    Advice to Management

Keep in mind there are talented individuals outside our hub cities.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They train you well and pay you well. Training was really fun and in my dept (retention) they gave us Pay Protect, which is extra $ on top of your hourly because during training you can't earn commission. The job wasn't really hard, just wasn't for me.

    Cons

The environment is very competitive which may not be for everybody. Most customers are upset and threatening to cancel svcs which affects your pay. Many coworkers fail to do their jobs thus making customers more angry once they talk to you.

    Advice to Management

I think managers do a pretty good job with what they have.

    Pros

The company has a lot of opportunity for advancement for an employee to find his or her niche which makes for a happy employee in the work force . Which translates into higher productivity.

    Cons

No real diversity in management . This creates a lackof understanding and translates into a downward trend for productivity in the workplace employees need to feel connected to their jobs and that they are needed and wanted in a viable way which translates into higher productivity and the bottom line for the company

    Advice to Management

Create a real atmosphere for diversity with out bias. Train managers to understand and embrace differences in culture.
