I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I’ve been with AT&T for almost 20 years and have found an ever present sense of pride when I meet people and share my love of this company. I've had many different jobs from the company in two different cities and have loved everyone of them.

    Cons

There are only cons if you don't see the good side to any situation - even a tiring job can be a turned into a pro.

I worked at AT&T (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good vacation benefits, good people to work with.

    Cons

Most of the management is terrible and have no people skills. Some of the managers have no business having direct reports but they do. Not equal, favor certain employees, Q Reviews that are not productive. The company used to be one of the top companies to work for but not anymore. If you have 15+ years they will eventually lay you off in order to not have to pay for benefits. They like to lay people off with tenor and get fresh faces in for cheaper. They could care less about the morale and do nothing to recognize their employees. They don't want to spend a dime on recognition but the executives sure do get paid well.

    Advice to Management

Recognize your employees...morale is at a all time low.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excited to get back into the workforce after a year of early retirement. I enjoy challenges, growth and also feel my previous experience can add value to your firm.

    Cons

Relocation coordination. We would like to be in the Kansas City area due a large volume of family there.

    Advice to Management

Please see resume and I do have a letter of recommendation from my previous boss. I am high integrity, I am a hard worker but one who is well organized and able to multi task well.

I have been working at AT&T (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits, financially strong

    Cons

Constant Layoffs. One day you're told you are valued and the next day you have no job (this has happened to several of my peers - they received outstanding reviews and Individual Contributor Awards). It's my understanding that AT&T is planning to reduce the workforce by half between now and the year 2020. Deceitful behavior from HR and Sr. Leadership.

    Advice to Management

Try leading instead of dictating. Live and enforce the policies you expect us to abide by (no matter how insignificant you think the policy may be). Instead of laying off good people place them in other jobs that are available.

    Pros

People are great, bosses are great, Executives are AMAZING leaders who actually lead and don't just shout orders. Also, they make you feel very comfortable. There is still a boss presence with a comfortable atmosphere.

    Cons

None, really everything thus far has been more than I could have every hoped for.
