I worked at AT&T (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The atmosphere was professional and the work environment was great. Despite the size of the company the people were friendly and down to earth.

    Cons

The biggest downsides were the lack of cohesiveness between the various business segments, the red-tape to get things done and the decision to force all manager level employees and above to relocate to TX.

    Advice to Management

In my opinion the decision to force employees to relocate toTX was a major mistake resulting in a severe drainage of talent from the organization.

    Pros

Great benefits decent commission pay. Paid training with ramp up meaning through out your training months you still get commission whether you hit your goal or not the first 6 mos.

    Cons

Constant commission structure change last change for the worst no pay in upgrades as well as a new horrible product called digital life the Bain of every ATT employees existence of you don't sell at least 2 per month say good bye to any job security.

    Advice to Management

    Show more appreciation to workers.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits, new equipment to play with, paid training.

    Cons

Schedule, Not much in the way of working your way up, Unrealistic Operational Duties, Inexperience Managers hired right out of college with absolutely no people skills or work ethics.

    Advice to Management

Work on motivating your employees with positive inforcement instead of write ups, documentation every two seconds, the so called coaching you have in place does not work, just look at how fast you are losing employees, be human, your scheduling is a mess and your employees absolutely hate it! Of course unless they have seniority then it is all one sided scheduling by the way that is also considered discrimination in this country, so I'm sure that will catch up to at&t soon.
