    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It can be a fairly flexible place to work, but the company has been changing and remaking itself. There are lots of opportunities if you can find them.

    Cons

Lots of bureaucratic nonsense... Lots of mandatory training which is the same thing every year. Lots of shuffling around of the parts of the business. It sometimes seems that the upper management uses changes in the business set up as an excuse

    Advice to Management

When you acquire new businesses, you really need to consolidate into your core technologies, rather than having to go and enter data into 2 or 3 systems doing the same thing.
