I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Pay. Time off. Benefits, 401k matching.

    Cons

Management. Total lack of consistency. One work-center to another is totally different in terms of how the job is done. Senior techs with 20+ years who can't do the job, but keep their job b/c seniority and union. Yet younger techs who can do the job, get laid off.

    Advice to Management

Consistency? Get rid of the senior techs, let guys in who want and will do the work.

    Advice to Management

Stop laying off your most talented employees that have given you more than 10 years of service to replace them with employees that make less and have less tenure

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great base pay and commission, At&T always has great spiffs and benefits. You get half off on majority of their services (cellular , tv, internet)

    Cons

The company is very dynamic so things aren’t consistent for very long depending on location people can get moved around a lot but this is primarily due to people getting promoted.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at AT&T for more than a year

    Pros

It is a worldwide company offering a vast area of experiences by association with the various branches within the company. Their large product offerings provide learning and exposure allowing one to expand personal product knowledge.

    Cons

Because the company is so large and complex it is difficult to learn all aspects and rules that must be followed in order to reach across the various subsidiaries of the company effetely. While it is all one company the operation rules are vastly different in different locations around the country.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication among the various segments of the company and attempt to have decisions made at lower levels of management.

    Advice to Management

As a CSR rep you receive a lot of training on soft skills but don't receive the same care from management. If you are looking for opportunities to advance be willing to relocate
