I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Hourly and commissions
You get what you give as far as compensation
Additional bonuses are nice as well (didn't include that in the commission estimate)
It's so busy you'll never watch the clock to leave. You'll be surprised it's time to go!
    Helpful coworkers
    There's usually overtime available
    Maternity/paternity leave available
The benefits are very very good -- health insurance, tuition reimbursement, discounts at places -- best benefits I've come across
Everyone is generally pleasant to work with -- if you aren't you won't last long

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations
    Not very flexible scheduling
If you haven't worked there for years you'll close a ton
It's busy. So you won't get off work on time. I hope your family understands.
If you run late to work this is NOT the job for you. If you want to leave on time this is NOT the job for you.

    Advice to Management

It's not a management issue but a policy issue. I've worked for att in several states and have always had wonderful managers in the store. . Some policies suck but they didn't make them. It's company wide.

I have been working at AT&T part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Always a way to improve through different positions. Great customer service training. Love the constant feedback to improve as well. Great environment too.

    Cons

Management sometimes can be a little confusing with their feedback. Commission changes lately has sucked big time. Having limitations is a big hinderance to the workflow.

    Advice to Management

Come up with a consistent strategy but keep the great attitudes

    Pros

The basic pay is good, and some of the local management is flexible to your needs.

    Cons

    Everything other than the pay.

    Advice to Management

Stop running it into the ground searching for profit. You're killing customer service with every slash of a job and backwards leap in support technology.
