I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good compensation overall. Work can be interesting. Company is very innovative and getting into new and different lines of business.

    Cons

Opportunity to advance is only available in hub areas, like Dallas and Atlanta. If you aren't willing to move on your own dime, AT&T is not willing to help. Long work hours and poor work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Please integrate the different parts of the company faster. Please continue to be innovative. Please stop coaching employees on their candid feedback. Help us move up in the company.

    Pros

Great PTO benefits - 28 paid days off! Great education and job related training opportunities.

    Cons

Not the best healthcare insurance, but that's endemic across most of corporate America.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked with good people in the sales division.

    Cons

too many managers, hence they micro-manage everyone. it wasn't a pleasant experience. Tons of pressure.

    Advice to Management

Cut down on the managers....you have too may chiefs and not enough indians. The managers have no direct account responsibility.

    Pros

Pay, benefits, change of scenery, not monotonous.

    Cons

Poor management, poor leaders, no official training, pushed to complete as much work as possible which in turn made job quality suffer.

    Advice to Management

Remember customer service and quality work.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Better pay opportunity than nearly any other retail management. Access to the newest technologies. Benefits are as good as any company.

    Cons

Often high pressure. No accountability for upper management, and limited resources to hold sellers accountable. Union rewards mediocrity instead of achievement. Hours and work/life balance is usually crazy.

    Advice to Management

Get out now. The grass really is greener on the other side. Managers get tossed aside like garbage when it serves the company's larger purpose.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great pay, benefits, and the ability to grow with the company.

    Cons

Long hours, nights, weekends, and holiday work. Lots of vacation time, but very difficult to use it at times. There is a lack of common sense with upper management and the goals they expect from the front line sellers. There really needs to be a better connection between senior management and the front line.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your front line people, they are why you are in business. Without the sales team there would be no company.

    Cons

No set work schedule. Awful work/life balance. Uverse being sold to Frontier, ATT doesn't care about Uverse Employees. No defined career path, minimal (if any) upward mobility

    Advice to Management

    . . .
