    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I honestly cannot think of any right now. Vacation time was great but you never get to use it.

    Cons

The manager for our group was really bad. I did not want to leave, he gave me no choice.

    Overworked
    Contributions no recognized
The public criticism was the WORST
My manager didn’t care about his team, we were just numbers that could be replaced.

We were repeatedly told to do unethical things to get our numbers.

Constant change - really for the worst

The compensation for the work done was horriable.

    Advice to Management

The best advice I can give is if you want your best people to stay, you need to think carefully about how you treat them.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great, pay, hours, benefits. Union job. Very good guys I worked with.

    Cons

Management is a little too hard nosed on subjects they don’t fully understand, they make company wide standards that are not applicable in all areas.

    Advice to Management

Ease up and listen to your employees about their concerns. Help them help you. Don’t be so focused on numbers and times but get back to the days where it was about the consumer! Let the techs take care of customers.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits, pay, discounts on all AT&T products. Vacation.time medical, vision, dental and 401k everyone once in a while the bonuses. The incentives when you work hard paid trips for you and a plus one. Mention the money

    Cons

No work life balance at all hard to move into management from non management. Stress level will be through the roof. Seniority base so you can possibly work every Saturday in a center. Other than that they pay you well to get cussed and yelled at all day.

    Advice to Management

Work life balance needs to be better for non management. The needs of the business is important and family need us as well

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working in my field of technology and comoany benefits. (Ex. Health, 401k, discount, supplies, and uniforms.)

    Cons

1st line-up 3rd line management. Tgere has been no change in the supposed
Iniative to create a better culture. It is heavily biased against leaders whom they don't like, usually African American. Management stresses production over quality, leaving the customers with terrible experiences. Main reason why At&t contracts some of the work out now.

    Advice to Management

Pick better managers, train the right techs to become management,(not someone from a completely different department), stop the targeting of individuals and harrassment. It doesn't make for a good place to work at all.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay, benefits, work phone and casual attire when I left. Training for new devices and changes. I enjoyed working with customers and being able to use the iPad to quickly get things done.

    Cons

Hours and commission structure that kept changing. When there are big changes, like when they switched to iPads, they expected everyone to be on board without all the equipment working and without everyone being comfortable.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ample training opportunities both formally and informally. Great benefits and bonuses. Stresses working and driving safely everyday.

    Cons

Unrealistic performance standards. The branch I worked at had a reputation of cheating and/or bending rules to meet demands because of the strong emphasis on performance metrics. Technicians, who are supposed to order their own materials, sometimes stole from each other. Days can get really long (12+ hours), especially if a technician needs help or gets stuck on a job. Even when you get home you may still have to work. If you're a college grad higher you made have a hard time winning some of your technicians over. They make or break your performance metrics (also referred to as "numbers").

    Advice to Management

    Minimize hypocrisy.
